I grew up in northwestern Minnesota, where I began playing organ for weekend Masses at age 12 and continued playing for multiple Masses each week throughout high school. My college education includes a B.A. in Music from the College of St. Benedict with concentrations in piano, organ, voice, liturgy and theology. Throughout college, I was employed by St. Ben’s Student Campus Ministry to lead music and liturgy. Next, I was Music Director for St. John the Baptist Parish at the Abbey church in Collegeville serving the non-monastic community surrounding St. John’s University. Then, I spent over 20 years assisting and supporting my husband in his role as Music Director at St. Michael Catholic Church while raising our four sons. I served St. Michael as a choir director, pianist, music coordinator, VBS/faith formation music leader, and an active supporter of our sons’ Catholic school until joining the MQP staff.
I have truly enjoyed serving as Music Director at MQP Church since 2018, as well as K-5 music teacher at MQP School since 2019.
