Seven Sisters Apostolate

A Seven Sister: One Holy Hour, One Priest, Each Week, One Heart of Prayer

In strengthening the priest You strengthen the whole Church…
Strengthen the priest and  You strengthen the whole foundation….
You strengthen everything in the Church
Fr. Gerald Fitzgerald, s.P., Founder, Handmaids of the Precious Blood
What is the Seven Sisters Apostolate?
The Seven Sisters Apostolate is a call to strengthen the Church by ensuring that a Holy Hour is prayed each day of the week for the sole intention of a specific priest or bishop—a “holy wasting” (cf. Mt. 26:10) or lavishing of prayer for his deeper conformity to Christ.
Where does the Seven Sisters Apostolate exist?
The Apostolate was founded in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, but there are groups throughout the United States and even in other countries.
Mary Queen of Peace is proud to be a member of the Seven Sisters Apostolate; a group of 7 woman who commit to offer a Holy Hour exclusively for our pastor, Father Pavlik,  each on a distinct day of the week, thus covering a complete week.
What is asked of a Seven Sister?
1)Keep the commitment to a Holy Hour on your designated day of the week in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.
2)Pray only for the Pastor
3)Pray for a deepening devotion to Mary for the priest for whom you pray.

What if I can’t make my day?
If you are unable to fulfill your commitment, there are 6 other Sisters you can count on to help out, or there is a list of substitutes you can call.
Substitutes are Needed!
If you are interested serving as a substitute, please email Jane Whelan at tomjane.whelan512@gmail.com.

Pray for Priests!
Mary, Mother of Jesus,  throw your mantle of purity over our priests.
Protect them, guide them, and keep them in your heart.
Be a Mother to them,
especially in times of discouragement and loneliness.
Love them and keep them belonging completely to Jesus.
Like Jesus, they, too, are your sons, so keep their hearts pure and virginal.
Keep their minds filled with Jesus, and put Jesus always on their lips,
so that he is the one they offer to sinner and to all they meet.
Mary, Mother of Jesus, be their Mother,
loving them and bringing them joy.
Take special care of sick and dying priests, and the ones most tempted.
Remember how they spent their youth and old age,
their entire lives serving and giving all to Jesus.
Mary, bless them and keep a special place for them in your heart.
Give them a piece of your heart, so beautiful and pure and immaculate,
so full of love and humility, so that they, too, can grow in the likeness of Christ.
Dear Mary, make them humble like you, and holy like Jesus. Amen.
